When this book was first published, a TV programme discussing it was pulled from the schedules in Boston after pressure was exerted by the city's Roman Catholic Archdiocese, whose archbishop at the time was Bernard Law. In 2002, the Spotlight investigation conducted by the Boston Globerevealed that, for nearly twenty years, Law had been covering up the existence of scores of paedophile priests in his diocese, who were responsible for the abuse of thousands of children. Law saw out his retirement in Vatican City, died in 2017, and was buried with a full Mass in St. Peter's Basilica. The final prayers were said by Pope Francis.

A very nice copy.
