DEPEW, Albert N.

Gunner Depew

Chicago: The Reilly & Britton Co., 1918

8vo, pp. 312. Original dark blue boards, lettered in gilt on front panel and spine. Two small stamped names to front pastedown and ffep. ('Watab Pulp & Paper Co, Sartell, Minn.'). Small handwritten index number to ffep, the number repeated on a small labe affixed to spine. Folding map tipped in at pp. 160-61, with a resulting slight cracking to the signature. A bright, well-preserved copy in a spectacular dustwrapper with a little very slight edgewear but no tears or chips, and the colours beautifully bright.

First edition.
'Gunner Depew tells an amazing story of what he did -- what he saw -- what he endured -- in two years packed with fighting on land and sea.'
A near fine copy in a spectacular (and possibly supplied) dustwrapper. Not a particularly rare book, except in this condition.
