First edition. Introduction by the author.
Stanley MacNiel was a Scottish accessory designer, working in New York during the 1940s for the Paramount Jewelry Company. In 1940 Paramount issued a gold fur clip which, according to a contemporary advertisement in Vogue, was 'designed for the season's smartest lapels by Stanley MacNiel'. The clip's design provides the illustration for the front board of Zodiac Cocktails, a collection of birthday-based recipes. After a couple of Radium Cobblers and Uranus Cocktails, you too will believe in astrology.
A beautiful example of a scarce mixology title.
