[Literary Periodical] ed. JOHNS, Richard

Pagany: A Native Quarterly,

Boston: Richard Johns, 1930

Perfect bound 8vo, blue stiff paper wrappers, lettered in black to front panel and spine. A very near fine, unread copy.

Early and beautiful copy of this influential literary magazine, edited by Richard Johns.

Running for twelve issues between 1930 and 1933, Pagany attracted contributions from the leading and emerging modernist writers of the time, many of them Paris expatriates. Contributors to this issue include William Carlos Williams (whose 1928 novel A Voyage to Pagany gave the magazine its name), Mary Butts, Robert McAlmon, Pierre Loving, Emanuel Carnevali, Charles Henri Ford and Parker Tyler.

A bright, tight, unread copy.
