[pseud. STREET, Cecil John Charles] BURTON, Miles

Death in a Duffel Coat

London: Collins Crime Club, 1956

8vo, pp. 256. Original red boards, lettered in black to spine. Illustrated dust jacket. A little browning to text block, but a fine copy in a near fine dust jacket with a little fading to spine.

First edition.

Writing under the pseudonyms Miles Burton and John Rhode, the ridiculously prolific Cecil Street [1884-1965] produced four detective novels a year for thirty-seven years. All but two of the Miles Burton novels feature Inspector Arnold and Desmond Merrion as the sleuths; this is a late entry in the canon of more than sixty titles, and a near fine copy.

HUBIN, p.59.
