A novel of witchcraft, one of many written by Brodie-Innes [1848-1923], a leading member of the Golden Dawn. A masonic-cum-magickal secret society, Golden Dawn's members included Bram Stoker, W.B. Yeats, Aleister Crowley and Arthur Conan Doyle. Brodie-Innes was leader of its Amen-Ra temple (a sort of occult regional manager).
