8vo, pp. 12. Original red stiff paper wrappers with foldover flaps. Partly unopened. A single slight bump to lower leading edge of oversize front wrapper, otherwise a very fine copy.
First edition.
Auden donated all royalties from this poem to the care of wounded antifascist fighters in the Spanish Civil War.
An all but fine, partly unopened copy, with no loss of colour to the wrappers. Not an especially scarce book, but almost never seen in this condition.
